I have tried dating services, listened to the top dating gurus and more. Listened to people I know, family and friends talking about clicking, chemistry and love. However, when I see what most of these people actually have, I wonder if they even have a clue. I look around everyday and see everything but the magic of love.
I almost forgot what the magic of love is. It has been too many years since I have been in a relationship and even then, it wasn’t real love. Too many people think that hot sex or how good they look together is what it is all about. I mean hot sex is great and who doesn’t want arm candy, but that is magic.

Recently I found myself watching certain sections of 3 episodes of a show over and over. The writer and director actually hit the target on capturing what the magic of love is. I come to realize why I have been so addicted to the scenes out of this show. It is the fist time in decades that my heart remembered what that magic felt like.
I thought that part of me had died and was forgotten. Now my heart is feeling awake and craving that magic. Sadly, seeing how the world has become and how people are in these days, my craving will never be satisfied. But it was nice to feel the magic of love once again, even if it is just a brief visit.
Do You Know What the Magic of Love Is?
When two people meet for the first time, yet feel they have known each other forever. When you know, you don’t have to keep your guard up because you’re safe. You know your heart aches when you are apart but at the same time, you are given strength by that same ache.
The feeling of being totally genuine and real because sex, status or agendas are the last things on your mind. When you feel like you are finally home when with that person. There is that feeling of anxiousness to see them again, even if you have been apart 30 minutes. However, you are content knowing you’re with them no matter the distance.
That magic of love gives both a strength and security that becomes their secret. It is a secret only both know and not even aware of what it is. This magic is so strong that they can feel each other even when they are apart. It is that look each other give one another that just says we are one.
This magic also creates that connection of being best friends. This type of best friends is what causes the two to understand each other better than anyone else could. Even though many laugh at the line from Jerry Maguire, “You Complete Me.” It has a lot of truth to it.
Never Give Up on Magic
A long time ago in an older and far away time now. This magic of love was real, many people found it. Live wasn’t about just sex or status or beneficial/convenient relationships. Love was something people wanted.
In today’s time, everyone is in a hurry. So, they don’t want to put a lot of thought or effort into finding the right one. That is why breakups and divorce is so high, people like everything else is disposable. Most have forgotten, when two people are really in love, they will always find a way to make it work.
I think if people actually held out and waited for that magic of something real. Your patience would far outweigh the wait. If you are wanting that hot sex or being proud of the arm candy. If you hold out for the magic of love, for the right person. You will have all of that and more. Stop looking for that Instant Chemistry, and let it come to you naturally.
Looks only get you so far in a relationship regardless of your intentions. I once put up with a ton of being mistreated because of looks. I met a girl that in my mind, looked like my dream-girl. That connection of best friends, feeling secure and home was never there.

So, the next time you are meeting someone, look for more than just the physical attributes. Don’t rush into something just because you are trying to fill a quota. Stop settling for what is fast and convenient and listen to your heart and open it up to the Magic of Love.
